Top international asset managers discussed global economic developments, and investment opportunities in today’s economic environment during a Wealth Management event organized for the Private Banking clients of the Eurobank group. Executives of some of the world’s largest investment houses that cooperate with Eurobank, presented their estimates and cutting-edge analyses on topics crucial to both asset managers and investors. Among the key subjects of the presentations were: the prolonged uncertainty in the global economy and the possibility of its persisting for a long time, investor concerns about global growth prospects, the trend of diminishing returns on risk investments and the methods for identifying and selecting the most appropriate placements.
During the event, which was held at the Onassis Cultural Centre, the CIO (Chief Investment Officer) of BNP Paribas Investment Partners, William de Vijlder, spoke about a “New investment era: opportunities and risks”, and Erick Muller, Managing Director, Senior Client Portfolio Manager with the Fixed Income Group of J.P.Morgan Asset Management elaborated on “How to secure returns from fixed income products in a low-yield environment”, while the presentation made by Michael Clements, Portfolio Manager with the Franklin Equity Group of Franklin Templeton was about “Navigating the European equities market: long-term investments in a short-term world”.
Private Banking clients had the opportunity to listen to the presentations of these three distinguished international managers, as well as the subsequent discussion, which began with a brief opening speech by the Deputy CEO of the Eurobank Group Mr.Nikolaos Karamouzis, and was coordinated by Mr. Dimos Arhodidis, Head of Group Private Banking. “At Eurobank, the provision of Private Banking services is based on 4 basic principles: selection, trust, accountability and performance”, pointed out Mr. Arhodidis.
