This is our inaugurating issue of the “New Europe Quarterly Economic Review.” With New Europe we aspire to provide an in depth analysis of the emerging economies of the former Eastern block and the Eastern Mediterranean countries. Their economies are by no means homogeneous, yet they all share a high potential for economic growth and present foreign investors with many favorable investment opportunities.
