We are showcasing the importance of the demographic issue for the future of Greece and are contributing to addressing it, prompted by the 200-year anniversary since the Greek Independence. Through the Moving Family Forward corporate social responsibility initiative, we take action to support Greek families. We are standing by the efforts of young couples to have children and we support new parents.

An initiative with a national and social impact

Greece recently celebrated the 200-year anniversary since the War for its Independence. To highlight issues of major national significance, we are contributing to showcasing the demographic issue, which is admittedly the most major problem the country is facing in the near future.

According to research, by 2050 the population of Greece is expected to drop significantly, by around 800,000 to 2.5 million people. Our actions to support Greek families and new parents in vulnerable and remote areas have a strong and clear impact on this and the generations to come.

Working with NGOs and associations to meet family needs

Working with NGOs and associations to meet family needs

We are standing by the Be-Live NPO in its campaign to raise awareness and meet IVF expenses for women with infertility problems.

In partnership with the Apostoli NGO, the charity organisation of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, we meet the needs of newborns living in Evros and small NE Aegean islands for the 1st year of their life. We also fund the establishment and operation of the Lela Karagianni Children's Multi Venue.

We are standing by the Together for Children NGO in the emotional support services it offers through the 11525 Mental Health Helpline and the psycho-educational seminars it runs for new and future parents.

Supporting the local community of Evros with actions

We created new job openings for 45 EuroPhone Banking call centre representatives who live permanently in remote Evros.

We give people who choose to live in areas of the Regional Unit of Evros the chance to stay and work at their place of residence.

By offering jobs and income, we support new families. We give all those who want to have children the chance to do so.

This way, we reinforce the demographic issue initiative with this major new action to support employment.
