With standing orders you can pay your bills and make regular payments on time and automatically. You save money when you pay companies in Greece that have joined the €pistrofi loyalty programme.
Automatic charge on time
The account is charged automatically with the payment amount and any fees on the date you have set:
- On the day your payment is due.
- On a specific date you choose for other regular payments.
This way, your payments and money transfers are carried out on time. You do not need to worry about a bill expiring or a payment deadline passing.
Your payments
Your bills and dues are paid by standing order, e.g.:
- Eurobank credit cards.
- Electricity, phone and water bills.
- Insurance premiums.
- Dues to municipalities and service providers.
Your cash transfers
Standing orders also facilitate money transfers you make regularly:
- To Eurobank accounts.
- To other banks in Greece.
To set up a standing order:
- Over the phone through EuroPhone International Banking, you need an active Eurobank card and your EuroPhone Banking PIN.
- At one of our branches, you or your proxy may come to the branch.
Setting up a standing order
Choose the bills or regular payments you want to pay automatically. For each one of them you set:
- The account you want to be charged with the payment amount.
- The date you want to make the payment, e.g. the payment expiration date for your bills or a specific date for other regular payments.
- The maximum amount to be charged for each standing order.
For every money transfer you want to be repeated, you set:
- The date you want to make the 1st money transfer.
- How often you want it to be repeated.
- If you want the standing order to expire on a specific date.
On the date you have set, your account or your credit card is charged automatically with the amount and any fees.
When you pay companies in Greece that have joined the €pistrofi loyalty programme, you earn €pistrofi euros if the standing order is by a credit card linked to the €pistrofi loyalty programme.
You can redeem your euros next time you shop at partner companies and pay less or nothing at all.
Maximum amount charged
For every standing order you can set a maximum amount to be charged. If the amount of the bill or debt exceeds this maximum amount, the payment will not go through.
This way, you avoid extra charges due to an error or damage that significantly increases the amount of your bill or debt.
Money refund
If you dispute a payment to a utility company and the error is proven, we will immediately refund your money.
You just need to submit your request within 56 days from the date of the charge you are disputing.
- Over the phone through EuroPhone International Banking, with an active Eurobank card and your EuroPhone Banking PIN.
- At one of our branches.

In this case, neither you nor Eurobank are notified and the payment or money transfer does not go through.
To make sure that your standing orders are active, you need to regularly contact the company or the organisation for which you have set up standing orders.

Additionally, there is the possibility the standing order may stop. This depends on the organisation you are paying. Contact them for more information.
If the standing order stops, you should submit a request to set it up again.

Yes, if the organisation sends us a payment order.
If you want to make sure that you will not be charged twice, you can ask to withdraw the standing order and set it up again later.
If the bill is paid twice, you should contact the organisation to get a refund.
