Giving back to society and supporting those in need is at the core of our operations. We consistently support vulnerable social groups, NGOs, local communities and government agencies, aiming to make a difference in the lives of people.
Donations to children’s NGOs
Every year we make dozens of donations to NGOs. We mainly choose organisations that help children who are facing adversities.
These include abandoned babies and orphans, as well as children with mental and physical disabilities, or other serious health problems, such as childhood cancer.
Supporting adolescents
Since 2020 we have been supporting young people who are facing stressful situations, problems and dilemmas, before school the university entrance exams or during adolescence.
Through the 11525 helpline of the NGO Together for the Child, we offered psycho-educational seminars in schools and counselling to teenagers over the phone, by email or through Skype.
Looking out for the younger generation
We believe that the most important investment to secure our future is to make children and young adults an absolute priority.
To this end, we are keeping our sights set on the future and pledge to launch new actions that will give young people and their families the help they need to cope with difficulties, move forward and drive progress in Greece.
Sotiria Thoracic Diseases Hospital of Athens
In 2022 we renovated the Special Respiratory Infections Unit, University Pulmonology Clinic, at Sotiria Thoracic Diseases Hospital of Athens. The renovated unit includes 10 single-bed wards with entryway, waiting areas, staff rooms and other auxiliary rooms.
The cost of the renovation amounted to €185,000.
In 2023 we also donated 225,000 single-use masks to the hospital, from our reserve during the pandemic.
Restoration of the Ancient Olympia area
The wildfires in August 2021 delivered yet another blow, not just to the environment, but also to the producers of Ancient Olympia. We have implemented an integrated programme to restore the area, which is a powerful global symbol of Greek cultural heritage.
Find out more about our programme to restore the wider Ancient Olympia area.
Flood protection projects on Rhodes
The wildfires on the island of Rhodes in July 2023 was the largest ever recorded on the island. We supported the local community and stood by the affected residents.
We funded the construction of flood protection projects to immediately address the soil erosion and protect the wider area from flooding.

Laiko General Hospital of Athens
We actively support initiatives that aim to upgrade the quality of care in the area of healthcare in Greece.

The cost of the beds amounted to €31,000.
COVID-19
Right from the start, we contributed to the collective effort to tackle the pandemic crisis. We gave priority to the protection of our employees, as well as our customers, ensuring safe and uninterrupted services through all available channels.
In consultation with the Ministry of Health and the National Central Purchasing Body for Health Sector (EKAPY), we donated hospital equipment and medical supplies, in line with the recommendations of the competent bodies. To this end, we bought and donated equipment and supplies – such as ICU vital signs monitors, ICU beds, IV / drug infusion pumps, and certified coveralls and FPP2 masks for doctors and nurses – to offer immediate relief to hospitals, protect the medical and nursing staff, and meet the increased needs of ICUs.
