How do I open an account?
If you do not bank with us, you can open an account:
If you bank with us, you can open an account using one of these ways. You can also open it through e-Banking, provided you have e-Banking credentials.
You can get a new debit card issued that is linked to your account if you don’t already hold an active Eurobank debit card in your name.
If you open an account at one of our branches, you get you card on the spot. If you open an account through e-Banking, the Eurobank Mobile App or a Hellenic Post branch, you get your card by post within 15 days, at the address you have registered with Eurobank.
With the Saving Now Account, you get a new Cash Card Cirrus.
Which accounts can I open online?
If you don’t bank with us, you can open a Day to Day Account Plus through the Eurobank Mobile App. Then, if you wish so, you can also open other types of accounts.

What supporting documents do I need to open an account?
To open an account, you need to upload or submit to a branch proof of your:
- Identification
- Income and tax details
- Home address and phone number
- Employment
How can I open a payroll or pension account?
If you don’t bank with us, you open a Day to Day Account Plus, which is a payroll or pension account:
- Through the Eurobank Mobile App.
- At one of our branches.
- At a Hellenic Post branch.
If you choose to open a payroll account at a branch, along with all the rest of the supporting documents, you’ll also need to submit:
- A certificate from your employer

To open a pension account at a branch, you will need to tell us: your social security number (AMKA) and your DIAS number, which appear on your pension slip. If you don’t have it handy, you can easily download if from e-EFKA using your TAXISnet credentials.
If you bank with us, you open a Day to Day Account Plus:
- In a flash through e-Banking or the Eurobank Mobile App, provided you have login credentials.
- At one of our branches.
- At a Hellenic Post branch.
If you open a payroll or pension account at a branch, you need to submit the necessary supporting documents.
Do I need to make a deposit to open an account?
You can open a Day to Day Account Plus or a Saving Now Account starting with €0 initial deposit.
To open an 18 Plus Account or a Megalono Account, you need to make a €50 initial deposit.
I live abroad. Can I open an account?
Yes, you can open an account through the Eurobank Mobile App in a flash.
You must be a permanent resident in a country participating in PRADO.
Can I open an account for someone who is under 18?
Yes. You can open a Megalono Account for your child at one of our branches, with an initial deposit of €50. Your child is the sole account holder.
As soon as your child turns 18, the Megalono Account automatically switches to an 18 Plus Account with the same account number. Your child remains the account holder.
Make an appointment at the branch of your choice and bring all the supporting documents for you and your child.
How can I get a EuroPhone Banking PIN?
You get a EuroPhone Banking PIN at a branch when your debit card is issued or at any time after that. This way, you can keep track of your account transactions and balance over the phone.
With EuroPhone Banking you can also monitor other Eurobank products, and carry out money transfers, and other banking and trading transactions.

Can I add another holder to my account online?
Yes. You can add a joint account holder online through your e-Banking or the Eurobank Mobile App, without either you or them coming to a branch.
The joint account holder you wish to add must:
- Be a natural person.
- Be a Eurobank client.
- Have updated their details.
- Be 18-75 years old.
Choose the account to which you wish to add a joint account holder. Then, choose how you wish to add them:
- By choosing them from the drop-down list of joint account holders with whom you already share accounts with at Eurobank.
or
- Through searching, by filling in their tax number and date of birth.
If there are other joint account holders in your account, they must have updated their details and be between 18-75 years old.
They can update their details online, either through eGov KYC, without any supporting documents, or by uploading the necessary documents.
If the joint account holder you want to add does not bank with Eurobank, you must come along with them to the branch. In addition, the joint account holder must bring along the documents required to open a bank account.
How do I get my debit card if I open an account online?
If you request a new debit card when you open your account through e-Banking or the Eurobank Mobile App, you get it by post within 15 days, at the address you have registered.
I have a time deposit. Can I link it to my account?
Yes. You can link your account to a time deposit if you have additional money you do not need for your day-to-day transactions.
Time deposits offer higher interest rates than day-to-day accounts. Choose the one that meets your needs.
I used to bank with Eurobank but I don’t have e-Banking credentials or an active card. Can I open an account through the Eurobank Mobile App?
No, you can’t. If you used to bank with Eurobank but currently you don’t have e-Banking credentials or an active card, you must open a new account at one of our branches.
However, if you have an active Eurobank card and you want to open a new account online from your mobile or your computer, you should first get e-Banking credentials.
